Dr. Phil. Salam Mairi, S.Pd., M.Sc. TESOL. Salam Mairi is a lecturer and a teacher educator at the English Language and Literature Department of Universitas Negeri Padang. He is mainly based in the English Language Learning and Education program which focuses primarily on pre-service teacher education. In addition to teaching at the university, he has worked closely with both high school and vocational school English teachers in the province of Sumatera Barat through the provincial Department of Education and Culture in its E-CAFE Learning programs since 2017 and also the National School Debating Championship that takes place annually.

Research Interest

Salam is particularly interested in research topics related to teacher education program including teacher professional development, teachers’ resilience, ICT in education, teacher education curriculum development, teacher educator, and teachers’ learning, teacher wellbeing, as well as topics on global education and multilingual education.
