International Conference on English Language and Teaching 2018

LogoEnglish Department of FBS Universitas Negeri Padang will conduct an international the 6th International Conference on English Language and Teaching (ICOELT-6) which is scheduled to be held from 25th -26th of July 2018 in Padang, Indonesia under the theme “Literacy and Competency in EFL Learning in the 21st Century.”

ICOELT-6 is the annual conference (previously known as ISELT) which attended by national and international speakers. In the ISELT-5 that was conducted last  year, the proceedings was published by Atlantis Press. These proceedings were indexed by Web of Science or previously known as Thomson Reuters.

The 6th International Conference on English Language and Teaching invites all researchers to submit abstracts of their research paper to be eligible to be able to present at the Conference under the following tracks but not limited to:

  • Multimedia and ICT in EFL learning
  • Digital literacy for EFL learning
  • Critical literacy for EFL learning
  • Critical discourse analysis and EFL learning
  • Arts in English language teaching

The International Seminar on English Language & Teaching (ISELT) is an annual seminar organized by English Department, Faculty of Languages and Arts, Universitas Negeri Padang, Indonesia.

Given the magnitude and the generally perceived success of SELT in 2013 and ISELT 2014 and 2015, we hope ISELT-4 2016  will bring comparable success and more impact on our understanding of the English Language and its teaching and our professional development as English Language researchers and ELT practitioners which in turn will bring most benefits to our students.
